The Good Girl and the Three Thieves is an allegorical music film for Detroit/Beirut, the debut album of Detroit electronic musician El-Iqqa (a.k.a. Joe Namy).
It begins in “Beirut”, where Yousef and Joumana explore the natural, idyllic setting inspired by 70's Arabic music videos, forming a musical courtship. Their abduction by mysterious audio engineers takes them to "Detroit", within the dark confines of their recording studio. With the help of Joe, a mutated version of Yousef, the three create a new sound, the amalgamation of both "Beirut" and "Detroit".

A product of conversations amongst a filmmaker, sound and multimedia artists, a carpenter-architect, and a literary critic, Faith for Miracles splices together archival footage from the 1967 Detroit riots with images of present day Detroit and the manifestation of Arab owned gas stations. The film sound is composed of the sonic collage, Resurgent Cineribus (by Sterling Toles), and the recorded interviews from the 1992 documentary, Sa-i-gu, (by Christine Choy, Elaine Kim, and Dai Sil Kim-Gibson).
